Francesco Bagnaia will be eager to successfully defend his
German MotoGP title and boost his world championship ambitions.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider claimed a podium spot at the Dutch MotoGP on June 29, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Bagnaia started second on the grid and went on to finish third, while also finishing fifth in the sprint race, which saw him collect 21 points from the event.
MotoGP title ambitions
The man nicknamed Pecco is still placed third in the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 181 points from 10 races.
Bagnaia is 58 points behind second-placed Alex Marquez of Ducati and 126 points behind the leader, Marc Marquez of Ducati.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2025 German MotoGP
The Turin-born sportsman tends to perform well in the German MotoGP, having finished second in 2023 before winning the 2024 race.
Bagnaia, who is the 2022 and 2023 MotoGP World Riders' Champion, has what it takes to win the German MotoGP for the second time.
What did he say?
“Here, for the first time, I felt I had a real chance to fight for the win. Today, when I finally managed to get fully dialled in, it was already a bit too late," Bagnaia said after the 2025 Dutch MotoGP.
"I was lapping really fast, but I can’t seem to get close enough to the rider ahead. When I try, I end up taking too many risks, which usually lead to me running wide.
"It’s a tricky situation that has been with us since the start of the season, and it seems hard to solve – but we must keep working and take a step forward.”
